Welcome to Not My Family Tree

I was at a seminar at the State Library of NSW on Friday 21 September, listening to a talk by the Mosman IT man talking about their project Doing Our Bit - Mosman 1914 -18 commemorating the centenary of World War 1.

It gave me an idea for a family tree blog, to put all the links about one family all in one place.

However, I decided not to do it on my direct family tree. I got stuck in my family tree and started looking at the off shoots and that lead me to the Amos family. As I did more research on this family I found lots of interesting information in TROVE, which is the home of the Australian Newspaper digitisation project.

I think the way this will work is that I will post about each couple and move back in time. I'm not really sure how it will work, but I'll give it ago.
